Sam has extensive experience in commercial litigation, having practised as a solicitor for 13 years at leading firms in Adelaide (Dentons), Perth (Corrs Chambers Westgarth) and London (Travers Smith), before joining the Bar in 2024.

He has acted in a wide variety of commercial disputes, including contractual and statutory interpretation, debt recovery, construction, property, trusts, PPSA, shareholder, estates, and competition follow-on claims. In addition, Sam has an Advanced Certificate in Insolvency and has advised and acted for insolvency practitioners in a number of small and large insolvency related matters.

He has appeared in the Supreme Courts of South Australia and Western Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (and its predecessors), and the District and Magistrates’ Courts of South Australia.

Sam has a demonstrated history of providing expert advice with efficiency and simplicity (both legal and strategic) and has considerable experience in large scale commercial disputes, requiring both technical knowledge and effective project management.
