Sam Hurburgh joined the independent bar in 2023 with extensive civil and commercial litigation experience. Before joining the independent bar, Sam was a solicitor for 12 years at MinterEllison where he maintained a broad practice acting in all manner of civil and commercial disputes and disciplinary proceedings.
He has particular expertise in professional liability (including construction, financial, and medical professionals), professional disciplinary, dust diseases, public liability, tort, contract disputes, and personal injury.
Sam’s litigation experience includes acting in representative actions following catastrophic fires, significant construction disputes, dust diseases claims, personal injury and public liability claims, corporate disputes, and disciplinary matters against health professionals, lawyers, and architects.
